Stop being afraid to look stupid. I know that you’re probably thinking, “Wow I’m really not good at this brand new thing that I’m learning in my business, and I’m so afraid to look stupid.” You know, maybe it’s just about going live on Facebook, or making a video, or speaking to a prospect, or not knowing what to say on a webinar. Whatever it is that you’re learning right now, you’re stepping out of your comfort zone. Well done. And you know what, you will never be able to really acquire a new skill, a new knowledge and get good at something if you are really worried about looking stupid.
And so, you know, I call that sweating the small things. I really believe that it’s important as we’re stepping out of our comfort zone to actually keep focused on the process. The process is really, you know, know our long-term vision and really just step one day ahead of us. Really just go one step at a time and keep learning and keep progressing, keep taking action. How are we ever going to learn if we don’t take action. So it’s absolutely normal and usual that you sometimes feel stupid, because you’re actually feeling out of your comfort zone, and not only that, guess what, perhaps people around you or people on social media are bombarding you with negativity.
It is normal to feel like that, especially when you have some big goals you want to achieve and you want to step out and really go ahead and become more and be more. So stop being afraid to look stupid. Keep taking action. This is the only way you know you’re actually on the right path, and it’s normal you feel like that from time to time.
Top achievers, however, as they’re feeling a little bit uncomfortable, as they’re stepping out of their comfort zones, as they’re doing things that don’t necessarily feel comfortable, what they do is just push through that feeling and focus on the long vision. Focus on who they’re becoming, on the process, and this is actually what gets you the result that you’ve always wanted.
