How do I bust through the plateau that I’m experiencing? You know what, that’s probably one of the top questions that we get from high achievers, from people who are actually creating success in network marketing already.
And it is only natural that we’re not always experiencing exponential growth. I personally believe that plateaus in our income actually reflect how we’re actually feeling and how our personal development, our professional development is actually going, so it’s a reflection of that. And so if we’re experiencing a plateau in our income, a plateau in our business, let’s say our team is not growing, people are actually fading away, they’re not being as active, we’re continuously replacing people. I think it’s time to look inwards and really think about what is happening for you.
Are you still as excited as you were? Are you actually focusing on your goals, your values, and how you’re contributing, how you’re giving back? Are you really excited and inspired by that? Each and every single day? The other side is, I ask myself also, how can I put myself into an environment where growth will not only be an option, it’ll be the only option, and I do two things. Number one, I always get around amazing mentors. Miguel and I probably spent well over six figures each and every single year, on hiring mentors that can inspire us, but number two, can keep us accountable to the growth and the goals that we have.
So I think mentorship is absolutely huge. It’s about learning new things and getting new inspiring ideas from people that are ahead of you in what you’re doing, that you can learn from, that have created a larger level of success. The other side is, get accountable. And accountability doesn’t always have to be to a mentor, but in addition to being accountable to your mentor, could be to a community of like-minded individuals. For example, in our Pyjama Bosses Inner Circle, where we mentor six and seven figure earners to scale their businesses. This is where the community is probably just as important and valuable, because we all, as peers in a certain community, experience certain challenges, very similar challenges, and so, Miguel and I are part of different masterminds, where we get to be accountable to our peers, where we share ideas and get accountable. Sometimes we even set challenges for each other to be able to really be accountable to the growth and to the goals that we want to hit.
So, growth is the only option, and we have to understand, if we’re plateauing, it’s actually a reflection that we are decreasing, that we’re drying in some way, right? So our personal development, our emotional status quo is actually not all that good, so we need to get around better people, hire better mentors, and create ourselves an environment where growth will be the only option.
